Vintage Authentic Glycine Airman Special Automatic -NOT FOR SALE

SORRY - NOT FOR SALE, DON'T ASK.

Arriving to my wrist today, a highly collectible and sought after by many collectors around the world, Glycine Airman Special, that were popularly used by pilots and US Airforce pilots during Vietnam War era in the 60's.

A quite difficult to get unless if you are willing to really spend your money on this watch. And even tougher to get a fully original parts. This one I am getting for example, the crystal has already been changed.

High grade movement still look pretty clean even after more than 50 years old.
This particular watch is using A Schild movement, 17-jewels.

This watch also features hackable movement by means of stopping the second hand via a wire. I see here the pin and wire is missing but that does not stop from its normal function. I do also realise there is another flaw to this watch as compared to the original. The clamp that is used as a stopper to the rotating bezel, for some reason, probably missing at the hand of watchmaker, it look like it was refabricated, but again, still a nice watch to wear.

Features a military 24-hour time, you might take some time to get used to it.

There has been reported that there are fake Airman been sold out there.
Here is a link, quite useful to get some knowledge on the fake ones.

Due to its popularity, I think this is the most popular model of Glycine watches, Glycine officially produced a book about Airman, that can be purchase at their website.

I finally got the ex-stock Glycine leather band from a seller in Australia. Now I love it even better!!
